In conjunction with the 2021 NPF, the Greater Wilmington Area PCC held a successful in-person PCC Day event at the Cape Fear Community College in Wilmington, NC – despite torrential rains and local flooding.

Participants included local business owners, marketers, mailers, as well as Wilmington Philatelic Society representatives, the District USPS Busines Development Specialist and Postmasters from Raleigh and Wilmington.  The Greater Triangle PCC Postal Co-Chair and Administrator weathered the stormy roads to join the event and share some philatelic items with the attendees.

After networking, raffles and a delicious catered lunch, Dustin Holland, National Security/Insider Threat Program Manager for the United States Postal Inspection Service, Cyber/Analytics Group presented Beyond the Headlines: What is Ransomware to the audience.

Following the USPIS presentation, Speaker Jon Bowman, Director of Business Development at Salem One, Inc.  – and President/Owner of PostMark, Inc. presented Targeting & Retargeting followed by a Q & A session.

Before joining the PMG Roundtable with the PCCAC, participants enjoyed a short snack break and more raffles, using a virtual Prize Wheel.   The PCC 60th Anniversary video and PCC Advisory Committee Roundtable were enjoyed by all, as was the surprise Diamond Award recognitions.  Greater Wilmington followed that by presenting the Gold Level Premiere Certificate Award to the New Industry Co-Chair, Mike Atkins, retiring Industry Co-Chair, Nick Svan and new Postmaster/ Postal Co-Chair, Derek Mahaffey.

Before closing the event, participants were invited to upcoming events in November and December and event evaluations were completed.  All of which were extremely favorable.   Everyone left under clearer skies with goodie bags in hand.
